The longest post ever!!

Sorry I haven't blogged in forever but this should make up for it!!

After 2 months and 1 day(!!!) Lego finally got my Pick a Brick order to my house! You have no idea of my excitement! It's been a while since I was that happy!

Unpacking!!

Still unpacking

Official documents or somethin....

Beautiful pile of brand new Legos!!

150 brand new 2x8gray pieces

Pieces more or less sorted
(The box on the right is after I'd been building for a while. That's why there are only about 20 left.)

Still sorting...

This is literally how my castle looked for two months. The day after I ordered I started rebuilding. I was expecting the order to come the very next week...didn't come.

The wall panel in the front shows the old wall thickness (1x1), and the new thickness is 6x1.

So much fun just to build all day long :)

Putting some slopes in to give the front wall a bit of shape.

Then I put some pillars in between  each wall panel.

Bringing the floor for the corner tower up.

At first I wasn't sure if I should do the little window slits or put in the iron bars in the top spaces.

I ended up adding the iron bars, but just on the West wall. The South wall has the slits, as you can see 4 or 5 pictures from now.

Stone mason working on the slate roof.

Going to work :) Notice the steps up on the left.

Bit of a building site, and the moat is filled with spare parts :)

Front of castle is taking on some shape.
(Slits on the South wall)

To save pieces I just used colored bricks in the inside as filler in the walls.

I had to tear half of the gate house apart to combine the South wall and the gate house. This shows the unfinished outside wall. You see the courtyard houses that are against the wall on the inside.

I must say I quite like how that corner attachment between the wall and the Gatehouse turned out.

Fences so no one falls off :)

The (almost) finished wall.

Building site. Bringing up the Floor of the round tower platform for a catapult.
( and next 2 pictures)

In this  picture you're mostly supposed to notice the little arch and the staircase.
This is the view from inside the courtyard by the Gatehouse.

Lego people apparently find it quite funny to fall down in this hole. I don't want to tear the whole wall down again so I had to get this funky super long tweezers to get the fellow out, and quickly boarded the hole up.

The wall is mostly finished. Working on the round platform tower.

Filler

And the finished platform tower with catapult and winch to bring the stones up.

The winch and a little ladder in case something's wrong with the hook or bucket.
This is the view from the courtyard inside.

Front view of the catapult.

**Now, for a little picture story :)**
(Not for young children under age of  99, Mom says.)

Two spies in the unfinished tower.

A guard and worker talking.

(Just to give you an idea where everyone is. The spies are in the unfinished tower on the left)

Mason working on the round platform tower.

Worker notices the door is open and goes to check it.

Guard talks to another guard down on the armory.

Spies have been seen, worker stabbed, guard runs to grab a spear.

One of the spies pushes the guard, but doesn't quite throw him over the edge, he just loses his balance.

Mason tries to attack one of the spies.

Got pushed of the wall and is hanging in the window.

Shooting a grappling hook so they can get away.

Then the one with the bow turns to  the guard that regained his balance and now has a spear. Notice the bow man that was on the armory shoot at the spy. He is  in the upper right of the picture.

One Spy gets hit and falls off.

The other spy is getting away on the rope that was fastened to the tower.

The spear man aims and throws his spear.

aaaand he scores, 1:0 for the guard

oh well, better luck next time :)
THE END. (Literally)

New wall and branches as an overhang and shade spot for the cows. No, the train tracks aren't technically part of the castle.

Horse care taker puts a helmet on the horse as the captain waits on the side. Notice the saddle on the right and the bridle hanging on the sign.

Currently how the castle looks. I'm still working on it.

I also cleaned up the horse pasture and added backs to the barns.

and made a little roof for the horses when it rains.

bottle got knocked over and emptied on the floor.

and this fellow tripped and lost his wine as well.

Mama and some huskies

Everyone must have monkeys :)

and that sums up what I've been doing these last few days.
